Another unmissable fashion exhibition is happening in Melbourne

Got room left in your diary?

The VAMFF Cultural Program keeps on delivering. This time, we’re really excited for Fabrik. It’s a multi-venue exhibition showcasing a minimalist, conceptual and a performative approach to textiles from international and Australian artists.

The exhibition provides a platform for emerging and established artists to showcase textiles, fashion and contemporary art.

The Geman word ‘fabrik’ translates to ‘workshop,’ prompting these artists to consider both material and method. The artworks have a strong emphasis on the artist’s physical engagement with textiles.

You can be sure to find work by David Egan, Heimo Zobernig, John Barbour, Mikala Dwyer, Robert Rooney and Sarah crowEST, alongside many more talented creatives.

The exhibition will prompt you to consider your own daily interaction with fabric.
