BoF is holding a pretty big talk in Sydney tomorrow regarding the future of retail

The times they are a changin’.

Industry peeps prepare your pens and notepads. Business of Fashion is hosting an intimate discussion on the future of retail.

Close Encounters will be held at the Sydney Opera House on March 30 (that’s tomorrow kids) and will see a panel of international fashion leaders discuss issues facing the industry.

Guest speakers include Karen Walker, Nicky and Simone Zimmermann and CEO of Aesop, Michael O’Keefe, to name a few.

The invite-only event aims to ignite a conversation about some of the most pressing issues facing the fashion industry, at a time of unprecedented change.

It aims to discuss the movement of retail from blunt transactions to rich experiences, in an era of ‘anywhere, anytime’ business.

A panel will also discuss how brands from distant markets (aka Aussie labels) can break into the global marketplace.

While we’re devo this one’s not open to the public, it sparks an important dialogue for upcoming brands trying to break into the industry.
