Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton leave sass and bide
Founders of iconic Australian label sass & bide, Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton, will be stepping down.
After running the label together for 15 years, the designers will depart sass & bide and handover control of the company to Myer. Vogue reports that the pair had been thinking of the move for a while, but wanted to leave when the label was still in “good health”. The new design director Anthony Cuthbertson has previously consulted for Mulberry and Victoria Beckham.
With one of the best stories in the Australian fashion industry (managing to a security guard to pass a handmade piece to Sarah Jessica Parker who swas filming Sex and the City at the time) we can only hope that the pair goes onto something equally exciting…
