Say goodbye to your credit card, hello to your credit dress.
Step aside Apple Watch.
Step aside Apple Watch, there’s some new wearable technology on the scene.
Rihanna’s go to designer Adam Selman has just teamed up with MasterCard to bring us the future of fashion: wearable payment methods.
Selman has created a dress with a credit card chip embedded. In other words you can swipe your dress at the servo to pay for your afternoon Coke Zero.
The idea is that the technology remains invisible, yet accessible to the people that wear the pieces. Selman also has gloves, sunglasses and a handbag in the works.
The program, which is led by MasterCard, also has technology maker Nymi, jewellery company Ringly, and Bluetooth locator TrackR on board.
We can’t wait to see what comes next.
