The Kooples is opening its first Aussie store this week

Koople goals.

If you appreciate the chicness that is French style (i.e. if you have a beating heart) you’re going to want to read this.

French brand The Kooples is set to open its first Australian concept store in Melbourne on June 3, with another to follow at Chadstone later this year. Ouiiiiii.

The new store will showcase The Kooples and The Kooples Sport SS16 collections. Offering sleek and refined silhouettes, the brand is the definition of Frenchy chic. Close-fitting cuts, attention to detail and delicate fabrics complement its casual, chic and sophisticated style.

Oh, and you must check out The Kooples’ campaigns. They star couples who met through unexpected encounters in London, Paris, Berlin and New York, and explore their love for each other in sweet Kooples’ kits.

The St Collins Lane store will be decked out in black marble, stainless steel mirrors and high quality lighting. Light boxes and screens will showcase the aforementioned très cool couples campaigns. This visual bliss will be accompanied by a unique playlist and fragrance created by ancient French manufacturer CireTrudon (it was founded in 1643, FYI). All senses will be engaged, and that’s totally fine with us.

As for The Kooples, it’s been around since 2008. The brainchild of brothers Alexandre, Laurent and Raphäel Elicha, the brand was inspired by the coolest couples (kooooples) of the rock era. Your Patti Smiths and Robert Mapplethorpes; your Jane Birkins and Serge Gainsbourgs. Couple goals shall be made and met here.

Bring on June 3.

But before then, have a look online for the greatness you’re in for.
