Uber will drop your unwanted clothes to Red Cross this weekend for free

Clean for a cause.

If your spare room/closet/garage is chockablock with clothes you were ‘planning’ to donate at one point or another, listen up.

Those planning an upcoming spring clean should also pay attention.

Uber is partnering with Australian Red Cross to pick up all your pre-loved items this Sunday.

Between 11am and 4pm in Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Canberra, Hobart, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Geelong, Uber will come around to your place, collect your bags of pre-loved items and take them to the Red Cross. FOR FREE.

All you have to do is jump into the Uber app during the allocated time frame, pick the Clothing Drive option and then hit ‘Request’.

Red Cross will only be taking clothing donations, so this isn’t a chance to get rid of your toys, books and furniture. Just your clean clothing in good condition.

Last year’s drive raised $500,000 for the Red Cross. You really don’t have an excuse not to join in.
