VAMFF recap: Premium Runway Seven presented by Oyster
All the looks.
With the crowd’s attire decidedly more casual than previous nights, VAMFF’s final runway seemed to have a relaxed atmosphere.
After a week of solid fashion events, it was time to witness a showcase of emerging designers. Here’s what went down at Premium Runway Seven presented by Oyster.
Eugénie opened the show, with a leather trench and leather pants. These were followed by a strong focus on patchwork denim, which mixed both inky blues and vintage denim washes. Floral velvet dresses also appeared, giving the collection a subtle ’60s vibe.
Wynn Hamlyn brought ribbed knits to the runway, offering preppy sweaters and sweater vests. Knitted turtlenecks also featured, with ruffled detailing across the bust.

As per usual, Kloke provided a wearable offering in muted tones, ideal for Melbourne’s winter. There were double denim ensembles in white for both men and women, loose-fitting silhouettes, fabric belts and a few quilted coats.
Pageant proved why it’s everyone’s favourite independent label, with a strong collection of ’90s-inspired pieces. We saw a sleek update to popper pants alongside fine mesh panels, colour blocking and form-fitting tracksuits.
Outrageous is possibly the only word to describe Garbage TV’s collection, with the DIY-inspired label covering designs with a checkerboard print. Models carried outfit-matching pillows, coats that resembled being wrapped up in a doona and (hugely) oversized fabric helmets.
