You are going to love this sustainable, sweat-proof activewear

In khaki, no less.

Let’s be honest. The manufacturing process of your activewear isn’t high on your list of concerns.

With VPL and colour coordination to worry about, you’re lucky to have made it to the gym in the first place.

This is where First Base comes in.

The Bondi-based label known for its quality basics is now delivering activewear with sustainable and ethical principles.

The brand’s new Khaki range features pieces with compression fabric, made using organic cotton and around 80 per cent recycled fibres.

Apart from being friendly to the environment, the high-performance activewear is also sweat proof, which means you won’t have to worry about your pits post-box jumps.

But the story doesn’t stop at organic cotton. The sustainable approach also extends down to the entire supply chain.

The label’s production factories in China are independently audited by a third party bi-annually, to ensure they meet WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) compliance standards.

Its garments are also packed and sent in bags made from D2W biodegradable plastic, which virtually disappears in three to five years.

When your package arrives, it’s housed in a recycled paper bag. Not forgetting to mention that all swing tags, invoices, care cards strings are all made using recycled paper.

If all that wasn’t enough, you also have the option of doing a little bit extra for the environment.

You can ‘plant a tree’ with your order, where First Base will match your contribution to double the number of trees planted (there have been 266 to date).

This is a good step in sustainable awareness.
