It’s no secret that the Australian modelling industry is small. With our fashion sector constantly growing, popular local models will often reach saturation point. Seemingly overnight, they’ll be the faces featured in every campaign, shoot and runway show – but with every established model, there’s an emerging talent breaking new ground.

Stylist Huw Ward and photographer Joe Brennan wanted to capture three of People Agency’s rising stars in action. Clad in ’90s-esque denim and pieces from local designers like Alix Higgins, Christopher Esber and Esse Studios, April, Quinalani and Sam answer rapid-fire questions.
