Introducing Honeymoon Studios’ ‘Ever After’ collection

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HONEYMOON STUDIOS
WORDS BY MARYEL SOUSA

“Antique lace, flushed cheeks, and that after-midnight kind of devotion.”

Come February, near the tail end of wedding season, Emerald Fennell’s much-anticipated Wuthering Heights will be released, starring none other than Australia’s leading man and woman as its main love interests.

With its gloomy yet gorgeous visuals, Charli xcx soundtrack and vintage bodice-ripper marketing campaign, the film is set to be on the moodboard of every 2026 and 2027 bride, alongside images of flickering candelabras, deep red cherries and solitary manors.

We’re not the only ones who’ve seen the writing on the wall. Melbourne-based Honeymoon Studio’s newest bridal collection, aptly named Ever After, dives into this darker, moodier side of love. Drawing inspiration from films like Interview with the Vampire and the upcoming Wuthering Heights, designer Andria Kiefer marries the intense, all-consuming longing of romance with its gentle tenderness – and the results are beautiful.

Launching with a veil giveaway just months after Andria returned to the workroom from a brief hiatus, Ever After is a clear product of the Honeymoon Studios ethos: wedding wear made for individual personalities, not to please the masses.

In a stark but welcome contrast to the cookie-cutter wedding gown, the new lace-forward collection features ornate elements on familiar silhouettes. The collection brings the drama to Honeymoon’s mix-and-match offerings: versatile separates, gothic takes on old favourites and three ethereal veils that all pair seamlessly with pieces from past seasons.

While the entire range is dreamy, here’s our edit of the best styles to suit your vibe.

Romantic and dramatic

For brides ready to go all-in on the dramatic aesthetic, look no further than the Stevie dress, an elaborate, high-necked showpiece gown made for layering. Cut in sheer lace with pearl buttons running down to the thigh and a subtle train, the dress has all the elements of a gothic novel heroine’s gown. Just imagine running across the foggy moors in it.

We’d commit to the look. Wear the Stevie dress over a simple mini dress and pair it with the Maree Cathedral Lace veil and elaborate, heavy jewellery for maximum effect.

Short and sweet

Mini styles are finally having a moment. They’re great for hitting the dancefloor at your reception or for a whirlwind elopement at the registry office. Luckily, Honeymoon’s newest release offers two new minis.

The Tania Mini Slip dress is a polished ivory mini with a V-shaped bust that skims the mid-thigh – a perfect blank canvas to allow your veil and accessories to shine. We’d style the Tania mini dress with the elaborate Florence Lace Cap veil, to add a touch of antique-inspired lace, or the Maree Cathedral Lace veil, which has a long, romantic, cathedral-inspired train that beautifully contrasts the length of the slip.

Alternatively, you may find The One in the Athina lace mini skirt, which features an embroidered lace overlay layered over a satin base. This skirt can be worn with the Jasmine lace corset and Florence Lace Cap veil for a lace-on-lace-on-lace look or paired with the silk Sylvia Halter top (skipping the veil) for visual contrast.

Minimal and elegant

If lace isn’t your thing but you’re still yearning for the aesthetic of Northern England’s wild, desolate moors, Ever After has something for you, too. The Tania Midi Slip dress, a quiet and refined slip cut in crepe satin, falls just above the ankle. It’s a simple dress, but its drape and length lend it the same romantic feel as a Wuthering Heights-era gown.

When paired with a dramatic (but still delicate) element, like the Mikaela drop-style veil or Robin top, the Tania slip dress acts as the ‘bones’ for your unique style to shine, while still retaining its clean lines and timeless elegance.

For a sleek and elongated silhouette, try the Helena Halter dress, a column-style dress that’s both soft and sculpted in equal measure. While the Helena features a high-neckline collar – an ode to vintage wedding gowns – its low back adds an unexpectedly sensual element.

We’d pair this with a more minimalist veil to allow the dress’ unique silhouette to take centre stage.
