See you at the launch.
Melbourne-based streetwear label Jungles Jungles is opening the doors to its first-ever shopfront this Friday. The label started as a backyard T-shirt printing operation in Melbourne in 2015 before gaining a global following, with select pieces stocked at international retail spaces like Dover Street Market. Now, founder and designer Jack Ferguson is excited to give customers the full, IRL shopping experience back where it all began.
Nestled in the backstreets of Fitzroy, the store has found its home in a 160-year-old heritage facade. Formerly a cordial factory, the building has been Jungles Jungles’ showroom and office for the past two years.

Jack worked with builder Oliver Elcock to transform the space into a minimalist haven. He says the store’s design process involved many sketches on paper and a lot of time staring at the walls. “It’s easy to get carried away when designing,” Jack tells FJ.
The result is a sleek, tonal and minimalist design that forms the perfect backdrop to Jungles Jungles’ signature busy graphics and pops of colour. “There isn’t even any paint used in the whole space, it’s just raw aluminium and concrete. There is a certain calming feeling about empty spaces,” he says.
Functional yet eye-catching, every detail in the store is carefully considered and has a reason for being there, even the 400kg aluminium door.
While the label heroes classic ‘masc’ styles like jackets, shirts and slacks, it has a diverse customer base. In addition to its staple graphic hoodies, T-shirts and caps, the store will stock some exclusive never-before-seen pieces.
