A world first.

Kering and London College of Fashion have partnered up to introduce the world’s first open-access online course dedicated to luxury fashion and sustainability.

The program, titled ‘Fashion and Sustainability: Understanding Luxury Fashion in a Changing World’, is a six-week course developed by experts from Kering and academics from the London College of Fashion.

It will cover the theoretical aspects of sustainability, as well as real-life cases that luxury brands face, such as raw material sourcing, animal welfare and greenhouse gas emissions.

The course will consist of films, podcasts, activities and discussions, all available online.

While it’s the first online course of its kind, it follows a recent move by LVMH and Central Saint Martins, who announced a sustainable innovation programme on campus in 2017.

You can register for the London College of Fashion course here.
