Louis Vuitton has been named the world’s most valuable luxury fashion brand, according to an annual report from Interbrand.

The firm released its Best Global Brands 2018 report, ranking the top performing companies based on factors like financial performance, competitive strength and influence on consumer spending.

Heavyweights like Apple, Google, Amazon, Microsoft and Coca-Cola took out top spots in the report overall, but luxury was the largest growing sector.

Louis Vuitton climbed from position 19 to 18 this year, followed by Chanel at 23. Hermès was next at 32, while Gucci rose from 51 to 39.

Business of Fashion attributes Louis Vuitton’s success to its adoption of streetwear, increasing its popularity among millennial shoppers. It sits alongside Gucci as one of the fastest growing brands overall.
