Books are so in.

Margaret Atwood’s Instagram is a certified delight, full of pictures of felted hats, ibises, and Margaret herself posing with seemingly random cosplayers.

The latest post showed off her recent cover for The Sunday Times Style magazine, where the 79-year-old writer looks like a very fun and fashionable witch. Photographed by none other than Tim Walker.

In an issue covering ‘12 women shaping the future’, Atwood’s appearance on the cover seems apt. Although, she’s been shaping the future (and imagining it) since the ’60s.

Atwood has long been a stalwart of literary feminism, and the renaissance of her 1985 novel in the current social and political climate has been overwhelming. Now, she’s being celebrated as the proper celebrity she is.

More than 30 years after publishing her trailblazing feminist novel, The Handmaid’s Tale, the unexpected but welcome sequel will be released worldwide tomorrow.
