Nike debuts new technology with the Joyride Run Flyknit

Nike is introducing what is arguably its most innovative technology yet with the release of the Nike Joyride Run Flyknit.

Nike Joyride is a new form of cushioning designed to make running easier. The shoe’s sole features thousands of tiny beads that form to your foot and adapt to your individual step.

This includes a larger ‘pod’ of beads in the heel to absorb impact, while the front maximises forward motion.

Over 150 different materials were trialled before Nike landed on a rubber-plastic hybrid for the beads.

The Nike Joyride Run Flyknit will be available in store and online from August 15, with further Joyride silhouettes dropping in the near future.
