Skechers revives its ’90s styles to honour Britney

Words by Christina Karras

We’re going to party like it’s 1999.

Because the ’90s are forever, Skechers has revived a new range of its Skechers Energy styles, once made famous by the inimitable Britney Spears.

The release comes two decades after it’s original popularity in 1999, having sold more than 100 million pairs to date.

Featuring the trademark chunky outsole we’ve come to know and love, the brand plans to keep the retro vibes going with more ’90s revival styles including the Street Cleats, D’Lites and D’Lites 3.0.

To celebrate the brand held a Halloween block party, complete with a throwback candy station stocked with Push Pops, musk sticks, redskins and giant sherbet straws. Midori mixers were also on offer.

Ah, the good old days.

The new Skechers Energy, Street Cleats, D’Lites and D’Lites 3.0 styles will be available in-store and online at from mid-November.
