Best dressed.

The Closing Runway marked day six of Melbourne Fashion Week’s 2026 calendar. After a week defined by colour, innovation and creativity, the FJ team was especially eager to see the lineup of designers taking over 101 Collins.

From Niamh Galea (formerly Ramp Tramp Tramp Stamp), to Erik Yvon, Corin Corcoran, Amy Cottrell, Lucinda Babi and more, FJ has followed many of these designers from their earliest collections. It felt fitting, then, that Sunday’s showcase would close out another dynamic year of M/FW.

Equally captivating were the looks we saw on the crowd outside the runway. From lace trims and metallic textures to creative layering, stacked jewellery and belts cinched over everything, Melbourne’s fashion crowd went all out.

While some went bold with their own experimental styling, others wore looks straight from the runway, paying homage to designers like Karlaidlaw and Cakey Sportsman. Find some of our favourite looks from this year’s Closing Runway, captured by Assignment Studio, below.
