Take a free guided tour of NGV’s Commes des Garçons exhibition

A feast for the eyes and the mind.

Enticing you into the world of fashion, the National Gallery of Victoria and Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival are pairing up to give guided tours of the Collecting Comme exhibition.

The free exhibition, showcased at NGV international, explores the iconic design methods and ideas of Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakubo.

Stretching right back to 1981, the display features over 50 pieces and draws on Kawakubo’s key collections. Highlighting common themes across her work with the label, the guided tour will give visitors an in-depth look at the designer’s inspirations and influence.

Tours will run daily at 11:30am from March 5 to March 14.
