Sydney designer Jordan Gogos has partnered with Ubank to launch a ‘Feel-Good Fashion Fund’

Nurturing up-and-coming Australian fashion talent.

On December 1, Ubank announced the launch of its collaboration with Sydney-based multidisciplinary artist and designer, Jordan Gogos. As the Founder of the fashion label Iordanes Spyridon Gogos, Jordan made his Australian Fashion Week debut in 2021 with intricate, vibrant pieces of wearable art. A maximalist celebration of colour and community, Iordanes Spyridon Gogos runways quickly became one of the highlights of the Australian fashion calendar.

Now, Jordan is working with Ubank to nurture up-and-coming talent through the Feel-Good Fashion Fund initiative, which was created to “a critical gap” in the Australian fashion industry. Through this initiative, Ubank will offer financial support and resources to bolster the profiles of emerging designers.

One lucky winner will be chosen each year to receive exclusive mentorship, industry exposure and a $30,000 grant, the biggest cash prize available for emerging Australian designers to date. “I am honoured to partner with Ubank on this exciting collaboration,” Jordan says. “The collaboration and fund aligns with my belief in supporting emerging talents. I cannot wait to see how this partnership and initiative will contribute to propelling the next generation forward.”

This project also entails the first Ubank x Jordan Gogos couture collection, plus a capsule of five exclusive fabric prints made in collaboration with artists Stephanie Farag, Brittany Wyper and Denis Vukcevic. Colourful, punchy and playful, the prints were used to create five zero-waste custom runway garments, which then served as the inspiration for a range of limited-edition ready-to-wear pieces.

For the capsule collection, three genderless pieces will be released over December and January – a breezy Hawaiian shirt, a soft T-shirt and a silk scarf. The shirts will be available in sizes XS to 5XL, with only 500 units of each style produced. With a focus on sustainability, all pieces will be manufactured in Australia.

“We are extremely excited about our collaboration with Jordan Gogos and the launch of our limited-edition collection,” says Andrew Morrison, Chief Product and Growth Officer at Ubank. “We believe in the power of creativity and innovation, and our collaboration with Jordan Gogos reflects that commitment.”
