Let slip.
Sneakers that combine functionality and style will always have our tick of approval. So it’s no surprise the iconic Vans Slip-On is on high rotation whenever we’re selecting a pair of kicks.
This month, the silhouette has become even easier to slide into, with the introduction of Slip-On Mules. The Mule arrives in Classic and Old-Skool shapes, in a variety of colourways.
We grabbed a few of our favourite Slip-Ons and styled them six different ways.
Look 1 – Polished layers
Sneakers don’t always have to equal a streetwear sensibility. Combine a classic black Slip-On with tailored pants for a sleek and sophisticated get-up that says ‘I’ve got my shit together’.
Look 2 – Monochrome magic
Monochrome can be anything but boring. Work the details in your shoes back with your clothing and accessories for an outfit that’s casual, yet put together.
Look 3 – Pastels and brights
When wearing pastels on your feet, don’t shy away from injecting bright shades into your clothing as well. It’s a fact that colour equals happiness.
Look 4 – Luxury athleisure
Slipping on a pair of Vans and trackies to duck down to the shops is the ultimate in guilty pleasure dressing. The addition of a luxe statement jacket instantly elevates things, meaning you won’t have to worry about bumping into someone you know.
Look 5 – Colour block meets pattern clash
Mixing stripes and checks needn’t be scary. If the combination induces terror, tone down the look with block-coloured jeans and a jacket.
Look 6 – Going loud
Clashing the iconic Vans Checkerboard Slip-Ons with a novelty sweater can add a touch of fun and personality to your outfit. If you’re new to loud prints, keep things simple on the bottom half and let your sneakers and jumper do the talking.
