Get comfy.
Whoopi Goldberg is one of those stars who could pursue just about any career and succeed without surprising us.
With her resume already full of acting, hosting, writing and producing gigs, she’s now decided to try her hand in the fashion industry.
Goldberg is launching her very own fashion label – a comfy, size-inclusive line called Dubgee.
Nobody who’s caught the actress hosting The View can deny she’s got her personal style down to a T. She’s all about bright colours, slouchy silhouettes and cheeky slogan sweatshirts.
And that’s exactly what Dugbee is serving up. The range includes comfortable separates, dresses and tunics with an emphasis on colour-blocking and aspirational graphics.
Certain styles are inspired by loose-fitting silhouettes popular in the ’20s and ’30s, updated with designs painted by Goldberg’s granddaughter.
Whoopi told Business of Fashion the brand’s motto is, “The last thing you should ever fret about is what’s in your closet.”
With that in mind, the Dubgee is out to tackle problems many people face when going shopping. Whether it’s thinking about how clothes will flatter your body, or even just if they have big enough pockets – Dugbee has thought about how to fix it.
The debut collection launches May 15 on Amazon, Ashley Stewart, Le Tote and Neiman Marcus.
