WORDS BY TESS FISHER

These drink bottles are the ultimate thirst trap.

If beauty writing has taught me anything, it’s that there are two keys to glowing skin – wearing sunscreen and drinking water. Choosing the right product to slip, slop, slap can be a bit of a process, but staying hydrated is easy – water is the wet stuff coming out of the tap.

Skincare routines and workout regimes are an important part of self-care, but so is finding the right bottle to carry your life-giving nectar. Investing in a reusable drink bottle is an investment in yourself and the planet (sorry for sounding like a bad bank advert).

Taking pride in the way you sip is not only good for the earth, but it’s also a handy reminder to keep your water intake up. With fashion, function, and futurity in mind, we’ve scoured the web for the top local water bottle brands destined to bring your hydration fantasy to life.

In 2018, Melbourne business Worthy dreamed up a sweet idea to combat the plastic clogging our oceans. Its reusable drink bottles are made from 100 per cent sugarcane, which not only looks and feels like plastic but is completely non-toxic and actually reduces carbon emissions. Stocked in a funky range of colours and prints, every Worthy bottle sold generates proceeds for Vision Rescue, a charity that supports children in the slums of Mumbai.
