This week we’re reading Untamed.

Every two weeks, a group of FJ readers gather together to dissect a new book with unrestrained candour. It’s open to all to join, you simply need to register your details below and we’ll email you details of that week’s Zoom meet.

Because self-love is especially important as of late, our editors have chosen Untamed as our next FJ Book Club pick.

With glowing reviews from Oprah Winfrey, Brené Brown and the author of Eat Pray Love, Elizabeth Gilbert, Untamed claims to be ‘part memoir, part inspiration.’

It is inspired by a moment that changed author Glennon Doyle’s life. Meeting her wife while speaking at a conference, the author describes an almost unbelievably serendipitous moment of love at first sight. She writes that “three words flooded my mind: There She Is.”

The memoir then follows Doyle’s process of reinventing her life and reimagining a more ‘authentic’ existence. Doyle describes the book as a wake-up call for women everywhere. She hopes readers will use the book to unpack their sexuality, spirituality, social conditioning, and accept their vulnerabilities.

Untamed follows Doyle’s New York Times’ bestseller, Love Warrior

To join the next FJ Book Club meet, fill in your details below. We’ll schedule a Zoom get-together where we can all discuss the highs, lows and in-betweens of the stories we’ve just read. BYO vino.

FJ Book Club will continue every fortnight, with new title announcements dropping every other Monday.
