Here, take a peek at Reliquia Collective’s founder Ana Piteira’s Christmas wishlist

WORDS BY CAIT EMMA BURKE

A stellar selection.

For a year that has moved at the pace of a diseased snail (apologies for that visceral imagery), Christmas time is approaching unbelievably quickly. Aside from gorging ourselves on all manner of delicious food and drink and packing more reading into a few days than you have the entire year, the festive season means purchasing presents, and that’s not always a walk in the park.

If like me, you’re stuck on ideas when it comes to gift-giving this year, seeing what other people – particularly interesting, stylish people – have on their personal Christmas wishlists can provide some much-needed inspiration.

This (and the fact that I’m very nosy) is why I’ve asked a selection of Australian creatives to share what they’d like to find under their trees this year. For the third instalment, we hear from Sydney-based PR dynamo and the founder of Reliquia Collective, Ana Piteira. Ana has a discerning eye for all things fashion and home decor, so I hope you enjoy this expertly curated list as much as I do.

Loewe Candle

As we are all spending more time at home, my obsession with homewares and scented candles, in particular, has escalated. I love all the new Loewe candles and think the colour is particularly beautiful. Their pillar candles are also worth looking at.

Designed in Australia and made in Greece, I have been living in Maria Farro sandals for the last couple of summers. I have worn my black Lex Flip Flops to death so know the neutral pair will be a shoe that I enjoy so much wear out of. The leather makes them feel like a grown-up version of the ultimate comfort shoe.

Newly-launched Australian brand Josh & Thom have nailed the relaxed summer aesthetic. I love their cheetah print and lilac tie-dye pieces. I would wear the whole collection but am particularly coveting this Cheetah dress. It would also look very cute tucked into the Bermuda shorts. Christmas day look perhaps?

Can you tell I love shirt dresses at the moment? Made in Sydney using Italian cotton, I love the stripe of this shirt dress and can’t wait to wear it while enjoying a long lunch by the sea.

When I was last in Byron Bay, I picked up a pair of these shorts in pink from the Zulu & Zephyr brick-and-mortar store. I have been living in them – especially on the weekends paired with my Blanca oversized shirts. Since they released the lemon colour last week, I haven’t stopped thinking about them.

Not your average beach towel! The touch and feel of the Solaqua towels are incredible and they are also nice and big so that you’re not hanging off the edge. Designed in Australia and hand loomed in Turkey by traditional artisans, they are the perfect beach companion.

Soft Edge Jug

I have had my eyes on these amazing jugs for a while but haven’t hit ‘purchase’ because I can’t decide on a colour! Hand made in Byron Bay, these would look incredible in any home.

The obsession with homewares continues! Lara from Poly made the incredible display cubes for our Reliquia Collective Pop Up Shop in Bondi Junction. I have had my eye on one of her large cubes as a very cute bedside table option.
