Level up.
Cinefix is helping feed your Wes Anderson addiction, with the release of The Life Aquatic in 8-bit format.
Turns out you don’t need the pastel sets and a stellar cast of actors to pull off the director’s vision, it looks pretty damn good in vintage video-game form.
The three-minute reimagining of the film is courtesy of Cinefix, a Youtube channel for film buffs. It joins the 8-Bit Cinema series and features pop-up dialogue boxes, levels and a soundtrack reminiscent of Sonic the Hedgehog.
You can check it out below, and then follow it up with 8-Bit editions of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Titanic and Finding Nemo.
