WORDS BY FASHION JOURNAL

“I was able to disassociate from my professional or personal life by using one vagina for work and one for my boyfriend at the time.”

While working as an escort, one of Evelyn Miller’s clients discovered she had a rare form of uterus didelphys. “I once had a gynecologist client and he picked it up straight away,” she says. “The sexy booking turned into more of a medical exam which was bizarre. He was fascinated, it’s not something professionals come across a lot.”

Uterus didelphys is a condition where a person is born with two uteruses. In Evelyn’s case, she was also born with two vaginas, two services and one ovary on each set. Now an OnlyFans creator and mum of two, she’s experienced pregnancy, sex and menstruation with two vaginas, bringing a host of obstacles and unexpected advantages.

“There’s very little research into my condition as it’s so rare, and doctors always ask plenty of questions when it comes up in a medical sense. Ultimately, I’m grateful for all it’s been able to bring me,” Evelyn says. Here, she speaks on sex work, pregnancy and the impacts uterus didelphys has on her life.

What is uterus didelphys, and how does it impact your life?

Uterus didelphys is a mutation of the female reproductive system. There are varying degrees of mutation. My condition is considered ‘complete uterus didlephys’, which is the rarest form. It means I was born with two separate and functional reproductive systems. I have one labia but two vaginas, two cervixes and one ovary on each set.

To explain visually, when the labia/lips are open I have two holes side by side (right and left), sort of like a shotgun. I can have sex in either or both at the same time, I can fall pregnant in either or both at the same time. It impacted my sex life a bit as I need to experiment to determine what feels good for me and this much depends on the size and shape of the guy!

Unfortunately, I have two periods which really sucks… hormones regulate my cycles which means I get them both around the same time, but one can delay. I have to use two tampons at the same time.

Thankfully I was able to have two children, but pregnancy is very high risk and my babies were tiny. I have to have two pap smears and two STD checks. Also, the birth control available doesn’t work for me.

How did you discover you had uterus didelphys? Tell us that story.

I knew something was wrong from such a young age. When I used a tampon it didn’t work (I didn’t know I had the other vagina), and then sex was always different. Occasionally the guy would hit the centre of the two holes and it would be painful. It was very confusing and I grew up on a regional farm with only my dad, so I had no one to ask.

Finally, at 20 years old I had a [pregnancy] termination and I was woken up… in recovery [to the doctors] telling me I had this condition and as it’s so rare [that] they didn’t terminate the baby. So that was very traumatic, to wake up still pregnant and have to make the decision again to abort. However, I was thankful to know what was different finally.

You’ve had two kids, which I understand is pretty rare for someone with uterus didelphys. What was your pregnancy experience like?

I’ve been pregnant in my left side once and both kids were born from my right (with my husband who happens to be bent that way, so that’s the side I got pregnant with him).

Both pregnancies were very high risk as my two uteruses are small – scans every couple of days, etc. I had to have c-sections [because] it would be too traumatic for the baby and myself to try a natural birth. My children were born premature and stayed in the NICU for a few weeks. It was very stressful but I’m so blessed to have two beautiful healthy children, considering my condition.

What was it like working as an escort with uterus didelphys?

It came in handy. I was able to disassociate from my professional or personal life by using one vagina for work and one for my boyfriend at the time. So it was helpful in that way, though I never outwardly told clients I had two (due to them writing it all over the internet and possibly attracting pretty crazy requests). I kept it private. I did have a gynaecologist figure out my condition… [through a] booking-turned-medical exam. No one wants to sleep with their gyno! That wasn’t fun.

How did you get your start in the industry?

I actually have a degree in healthcare but I always found the sex industry fascinating. I had a bad breakup and thought, ‘What the hell?’

What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of having two vaginas?

Advantages:

  • Sex is more exciting, I can try much more than a girl with one vagina.
  • Orgasms are more intense with two at the same time.
  • I can have more sex.
  • I enjoy seeing the terror in guys’ faces when I tell them!

Disadvantages:

  • Two periods are very painful.
  • I need two STD tests and pap smears.
  • I have a higher risk of cervical cancer due to having two cervixes.
  • Pregnancy is high-risk and scary.

What does a typical day look like for you?

My husband and I now do OnlyFans together. A typical day would involve the gym, spending the morning with my kids, dropping them at kindy and getting to work. People often don’t realise the admin that goes into OnlyFans/sex work! We film once a week, and sometimes with other people too. I guess we do have pretty fascinating lives but that’s our normal and we love it.
