Melbourne Symphony Orchestra to perform Harry Potter live in concert

WORDS BY BEAT

The first two movies set to live performances.

One of the highlights of their brilliant 2017 program, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will be bringing some magic to Melbourne with a capstone event.

Wizards, muggles and magical beasts alike will come together when the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra performs John Williams’ iconic scores from The Philosopher’s Stone and The Chamber of Secrets while the movies play overhead, projected onto a large screen.

Also getting the live scoring treatment for 2017 is Jurassic Park Live in ConcertAmadeus and There Will Be Blood, with the MSO performing Jonny Greenwood’s critically acclaimed score as the Academy Award-winning film unfolds.

Sort out your best wizarding robes and get down to The Plenary on Friday November 17 and Saturday November 18. Head to MSO for more details.
