Being fairly isolated here in the Southern Hemisphere, we can feel so far away from the action up north. Especially when we miss out on the best sneakers because they never make it across the seas.

But fret no longer. We’ve done some research to find you eight of the coolest newly-released sneakers available Down Under.

Vans Fuzzy Suede 23

Velcro is back and we can’t get enough. Not only is this shoe convenient, it’s also incredibly plush with its fuzzy suede upper in powder blue.

Superga 2790 Pusnakew Platform Sneaker

Iconic Italian footwear label Superga recently sent some new releases our way and it feels good to be included. The 2790 is a classic tennis shoe and has added height with a platform sole. The addition of a snakeskin upper makes for some real ‘90s vibes.

Price: $119.95

Reebok Club C 85 Zip

The Club C 85 range has received a lot of attention and not just because Gigi Hadid modelled in the campaign. This no-muss no-fuss shoe subs out laces in exchange for an industrial metal zip, giving it a streamlined look. Plus it comes in a fresh millennial pink, which is always a good thing.

Price: $149.95
Buy it at: Culture Kings

Converse Jack Purcell

On a more monochromatic note, Converse’s stark white Jack Purcell is an excellent everyday companion. It comes with a perforated leather upper and has that signature ‘Jack Purcell’ smile across its toe.

Price: $180
Buy it at: Converse

Nike Zoom Spiridon SI

For some pumped up kicks that you can take to the track, this Nike release is a good choice. The Zoom Spiridon is lightweight, breathable and accented with some dreamy pastel detailing.

Price: $229.95

Puma Basket Heart

It’s no secret we love Puma’s Basket Heart. The Basket sneaker is one of the most iconic silhouettes around, it even made it into the Trainer Hall of Fame (yeah that’s a thing). We’ve fallen hard for the new Natural Vachetta colourway, which features a smooth leather upper, a suede toe and satin laces.

Price: $150
Buy it at: JD Sports

adidas Stan Smith

Yet again adidas has elevated the Stan Smith. This time around, the sneaker gets a dual-layered leather upper finished off with geometric laser-cut detailing.

Price: $150
Buy it at: Platypus

Golden Goose Super Stars

These sneakers come pre-scuffed, so you don’t have to look like you’re wearing anything too ‘new’. They also has grey suede detailing, which goes excellently with the distressed leather and smudged rubber soles.

Price: $520
