The reign continues.

As promised in the collection images released last year, adidas by Raf Simons has dropped a metallic silver Stan Smith.

Clearly 2016 is the year of the Stan Smith. We've seen the classic silhouette revamped earlier this year in suede tones and again, just a couple of months later, with a highly coveted iridescent version. adidas is even double-dropping this week, releasing a perforated style as well.

But it seems the team knows what it's doing, with people losing their minds over each drop and the kicks selling out faster than you can say "size 39, please."

You won’t find the iconic triple-stripe in this release though, with Raf Simons trading them in for a single perforated 'R'. And while it’s not exactly for the minimalist-lovers, with its entire leather upper coated in metallic silver, there’s no denying that people will flock to the shiny number like magpies. And probably just as viciously.

The bad news? They're only stocked at US store, Bows and Arrows, which dosen't currently ship internationally.

Here's hoping the next metallic drop will be accessible to us Aussies.
