A $7 Aldi drop has just been awarded Wine of the Year

At the Melbourne International Wine Show.

After the brilliant news that a $6 wine from Coles had taken out a double gold rating at Melbourne’s International Wine Show, we were in high spirits.

Now, a selection of wines from our fave supermarket chain, Aldi, has taken out a total of 12 awards.

It’s safe to say we’re feeling pretty good about the world.

Included in those awards were two Wine of the Year titles, in the category of Dry Red Meritage and Best Value Shiraz.

So next time you’re in need of a quality drop, look out for the $6.99 One Road South Australian Heathcote Shiraz 2015, One Road Coonawarra Cabernet Merlot 2015 (also $6.99) and the slightly more expensive (lol) $9.99 Kaiora Bay Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016.
