Backstage at Christopher Esber with Napoleon Perdis
All about the base.
Overnight, Christopher Esber showcased his FW17 collection for the very first time at New York Fashion Week. If that’s not already making you feel proud as punch, the fact the show was largely an Australian collaboration will.
Napoleon Perdis and his team headed to the US to create the makeup look for the show, while Lianna Perdis made her NYFW debut as a model.
Makeup was subtle with glowing, fresh skin the key to each look. A glossy eye and nude lip added to the natural and hydrated complexion. And while we know makeup can work wonders, each model’s base started days before.
“I begin my morning routine by cleansing with Balm Voyage Moisture Complex Cleanser and Makeup Remover,” said Lianna Perdis of her skincare routine leading up to the show.
“It’s a rich and gentle balm, so it won’t strip your skin of its essential oils (which can sometimes lead to breakouts) and leaves your skin feeling incredibly smooth and hydrated.
“I then apply Auto Pilot Napoleon Complex Skin Renewal Serum all over my face (and down my neck) which gives my skin an instant wake up. Whether I’m going to apply makeup or not, I always apply primer next. My go-to primer right now is Auto Pilot Calming Skin Primer. It’s a green-based primer which combats redness and skin imperfections and contains Algae Extract and Vitamin E.”
