H&M is releasing a Conscious beauty collection

Zero microbeads in sight.

With all the drama surrounding microbeads lately, it’s nice to have some good beauty news to celebrate for a change.

H&M is building on its Conscious collections by releasing a Conscious beauty line. While it hasn’t always been in the good behaviour book of ethics, the company continues to combat its negative image, this time with almost 30 Conscious products for skin, body and hair.

The products are all GMO-, paraben- and silicon-free, as well as free from synthetic perfumes or dyes. The products range from hand creams to body oils, and even include an aluminium-free deodorant.

They’ve made sure to cover everything, with even the packaging eco-conscious, made from recycled plastic and paper.

The concept designer for H&M Beauty, Sara Wallander, said that it was a logical progression:

“We already offer conscious choices with our fashion collections so it is natural for us to have the same offering within our beauty collection.”

The range drops on April 7.
