How-to: Zhivago runway locks

Heed some inspiration from REDKEN Australia’s hair director Richard Kavanagh. REDKEN’s stints at MBFWA this year have given us a heap more hair inspo for when we’ve all but given up on our manes.
Kavanagh created this simple yet theatrical look for Zhivago’s recent MBFWA appearance. Though you may not be so daring as to try the runway fashuns – i.e. thread strewn over face – this soft, windswept hairstyle is one anyone can pull off.
Here’s how to get it:
1. For coarse hair, apply a few drops of Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine. For finer hair, apply Rootful 06 Root Lifting Spray. For dry hair, layer both products.
2. Blow-dry hair on a high heat setting with a medium sized, round boar-bristle brush until completely dry.
3. Create movement and bend the hair with a medium sized curling wand.
4. Create extra texture with Pillow Proof Two Day Extender and then clinch the hair at the nape with thread.
5. Finish with new Triple Take 32 Extreme High-Hold Hairspray.
