We asked the FJ office for weird beauty hacks

Thank us later.

Drawing on recent experience, we have learnt the Furst Media office is a wealth of opinions and wisdom.

So we decided to tap into this wisdom once again and bring you loyal readers a collection of beauty hacks from the gals of the office.

From the genius to the slightly odd, one of these might just be your next go-to beauty save.

Hair dryers work well as irons. Also concealer under eyebrows hides stray hairs and can help shape ’em when you’re due for a touch up.

Tara
Not to promote suffocation here, but I always put a plastic bag over my head when putting on a top to prevent make-up stains on the collar.

Veronica. J
I used to put Vaseline on my eyelids in high school so they looked shiny. That was clearly before illuminator was invented. I also use hair conditioner to shave my legs when my shaving cream runs out. AND an eyebrow pencil as eye shadow on the run, as it’s easy to blend.

Eliza
I use a toothbrush to brush my eyebrows into place, and sticky tape to do winged eyeliner. I also Vaseline my wrists before spraying perfume on to make the scent last longer.

Tegan
Use hairspray on eyebrows to keep them in place and keep toilet paper on hand to blot your face on the go. A toothbrush is a also good lip exfoliator and putting tea bags in your shoes can get rid of smells.

Amber
Olive oil is a great colour-stay lipstick remover and Vegemite is good for burns. To reduce the redness and swelling of a freshly popped pimple, try spraying perfume on a cotton bud and apply.

Zoe
Put nail polish on all your nails before getting a spray tan to prevent staining, or Vaseline if you’re protecting a fresh mani/pedi.
