Beauty report: Bali Body Moisturising Sunscreen

Words by Veronica Stanford

Lots of positives.

Name: Bali Body Moisturising Sunscreen
Price: $25.95
What it does: A hydrating lotion providing medium SPF protection.
Key ingredients: Sweet almond oil and shea butter
Available from: au.balibodyco.com

How it feels/smells/looks

You can’t go past Bali Body’s packaging, I’m ready to award this product the title of ‘nicest sunscreen packaging’. As for what’s on the inside, the lotion avoids those strong notes associated with supermarket alternatives and rubs in super easily. The vegan formula is thin and dries completely within five minutes. Once absorbed, you’re left feeling well moisturised, but not overly greasy.

Why I like it

I’m pretty picky with sunscreen, and won’t go near anything which is hard to rub in or looks white on the skin. Luckily, BB’s sunscreen avoids all of the above and leaves my skin feeling well-hydrated. It’s also made in Melbourne (big ups) and doesn’t come with the hefty price tag of other quality beauty brands (even bigger ups).

Areas for improvement

I’d love to see BB introduce an SPF 30+  option. While I love this product, with my easily-burning pale skin, it’s definitely not an option for a hot summer’s day. I’d recommend using this on cloudier days, and for daily use now that we’ve hit autumn.
