How it feels/looks

There’s a reason ghd sells four products every minute across the globe – it’s because they are still the best in the game. Although the gold straightener may look like the same styler you used back in the day, the 2018 ghd features dual-zone technology for premium performance, an improved heat-up time of only 25 seconds, and a modernised design for smooth, snag-free styling.

Why I like it

There’s a couple of reasons I continue to invest in ghd. The first being the brand’s lasting power. Unlike your typical electronic device that dies 24 months from the day you purchased it, ghd straighteners are a worthy investment. Secondly, they make my hair look the best. ghd irons keep my hair straight or wavy longer than any other styling iron I have used. You really do get what you pay for! I also like that the newer versions are so quick to heat up and always come with a protective shield to make them more travel-friendly.

Areas for improvement

There’s not much to say here – for me, ghd has done what not many brands manage to do; nail a product and stay on top year-on-year, product-on-product. I will be a ghd girl for a while to come.
