How it feels/smells/looks

This highlighter was definitely a surprise for me. Upon first inspection, it seems like a bizarre silver/glittery colour, but on application, it blends seamlessly and gives the most amazing sheen that magically adapts to your skin tone.

I’m big on cream highlighters and this one has the best blending power of any I’ve tried. The texture is super lightweight, and upon patting onto the skin (using fingers is best) you can easily adjust how much glow you want.

Why I like it

As mentioned, on first glance the colour scared me slightly. The Sephora website claims the highlighter is the ‘perfect balance of pearly gold and silver pigments that flatters both warm and cool complexions.’ And from personal use, I have to agree – it transforms to such a flattering colour on the skin and is unlike any other I have in my collection.

I also like the finish it gives. Unlike some cream highlighters that stick to the skin or interfere with your foundation, this product blends perfectly with both powder and cream products and doesn’t sit on top of the skin or fade throughout the day. The staying power is impressive.

The other thing I really like is this product is buildable. Right now, in winter, I want a more subtle glow, but upon trial, you can build this up to a more blingy sheen for when summer rolls around.

Areas for improvement

The price point is a bit of a killjoy. $62 for a highlighter ain’t cheap, but would I repurchase, honestly? Yes, yes I would.
