How it feels/smells/looks
OK, I have to start with my favourite thing about this product – the smell. It smells like an orange-flavoured Starburst. It’s also an orange colour, so at first I was worried it looked and smelled pretty but would be an average product. However, I was wrong – this moisturiser is perfect for winter. I find it’s nourishing enough to provide the hydration I need, but not too thick that I can feel it sitting on my face. Big fan.
Why I like it
The texture is really nice and does a great job to plumpen the skin, while helping to rid me of any dry patches. The product claims 24-hour hydration, targeting fine lines and wrinkles, as well as firming skin. I’m not sure about the 24-hour claim – I would say closer to 12 (which is still great!) and I definitely don’t think it’s the answer to wrinkles or firming. Overall, it’s a solid product for the price point, and is worth adding to the routine. Oh, and did I mention the smell?
Areas for improvement
Some more skincare benefits would have been nice in this one. Beyond the vitamin C, it doesn’t feature many other benefits. I always try and find skincare products that can help tick off some major boxes so you get the most out of the product. Other than that, I was pleasantly surprised, it has me keen to try more from Ole Henriksen.
