How it feels/smells/looks

This concealer has had positive reviews in the beauty community, so I was interested to take it for a spin! Although heavy-duty concealers seem to be the trend of the moment, the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away concealer is definitely more my style, and perfect for my day-to-day.

The coverage is medium but buildable. It’s lightweight and blends seamlessly into the skin with a brush or sponge. The consistency is what I like best – it’s not as heavy as Tarte Shape Tape, but not as light as First Aid Beauty concealers – it’s a nice in-between. The packaging is typical Charlotte Tilbury-sleek, and the applicator is a small brush head – some people don’t find this way of dispensing the product hygienic, but personally I don’t mind it!

Why I like it

I love the coverage, the product’s ability to be blended and the shade range. Tick, tick, tick! The other reason I really like this product is the ingredients list. There are some great ingredients, all of which add skincare benefits to the concealer. Persian silk tree bark extract, palmitoyl glycine and wild indigo extract all aid in reducing fine lines while enhancing the skin’s natural glow. I can’t vouch for the wrinkle reduction yet, but I do agree it adds a nice glow.

Areas for improvement

The only issue (common with Charlotte’s products) is the price point. $49 for a concealer is on the expensive side, but for this one, I actually think you’ll get the use out of it. It’s a really great concealer and one I keep reaching for every day.
