Top Three: Australian modest fashion influencer Nawal Sari on her all-time favourite products

WORDS BY CAIT EMMA BURKE

Her holy grail products.

I’m a notoriously nosy person when it comes to products. I want to know whether you double cleanse at night, and if so which cleansers you use. I want to know if there’s some special hair contraption or pair of tweezers that have (hyperbole warranted) changed your life. I want to know what curl definer you use and which lip balm you swear by.

But my interest in products doesn’t just pertain to the world of beauty – I’m always eager to hear about an air fryer that someone loves so much they’ve convinced their entire extended family to get one, or a laptop stand that’s corrected their posture and improved their quality of life by at least 25 per cent.

In short, I j’adore products. This is why I’ve asked some of our favourite Australian beauty and skincare influencers for their top three products, AKA the products they simply cannot live without. The scope is broad – it can genuinely be any three products, as long as they’re the three they value the most.

Next in line is Australian modest fashion influencer Nawal Sari. Nawal knows her stuff when it comes to beauty and skincare, so if you’re nosy like me and want to know about her favourite products, here are her top three.

Product one: Dior Backstage Face & Body Glow

How did you first discover this product?

I initially went into the Dior store to buy a lipgloss and saw this! I’m a sucker for a liquid glow face product and I had to try it. Safe to say it’s a daily go-to.

What is it/what does it do and why do you love it?

It’s a liquid highlighter but for the face and body. It’s much finer than a lot of liquid highlighters I’ve tried in the past. I love mixing it with my foundation for a boosted glow, under it as a primer/base glow and on my cheekbones for a dewy finish. I love the colour also – golden and delicious.

Where can we find it and who would you recommend it to?

Sephora and the Dior beauty stores I believe! It’s fairly easy to find which is great! I would recommend it to someone who wants to splurge and truly loves a good glow. I also have dry skin and it doesn’t stick to any dry areas which is great for anyone who also has the same experiences.

Pears Soap Bar Transparent

How did you first discover this product?

Instagram I believe! I saw the bushy brow trend come in and had no idea how to execute it because no brow gels had the same effect for me.

What is it/what does it do and why do you love it?

I wet a spoolie slightly then rub it on some Pears soap to then brush my brows up for the ‘bushy brow’ look! It lasts all day and complements my face well. I love it because it’s affordable and accessible to everyone!

Where can we find it and who would you recommend it to?

Woolworths and Chemist Warehouse! It’s under $5 and I would totally recommend it to anyone who loves a bold brow look.

How did you first discover this product?

It was sent in PR and usually, glosses don’t phase me as I’m fairly picky with what colour and texture I like, but it’s now a staple in my handbag.

What is it/what does it do and why do you love it?

It’s a gloss but better. It is infused with hyaluronic acid and really does give your lips a full, lifted look. I love the colour to start with, it’s the softest baby pink but it’s so complementary to my skin tone. It also suits my vibe of lip colours I usually wear which is brown/pink nude lipsticks. It’s also super great worn alone!

Where can we find it and who would you recommend it to?

Chemist Warehouse or Adore Beauty. I would recommend it to literally everybody, it’s affordable and comes in so many cute colours to suit every skin tone. You can achieve an everyday glossy lip or the most perfect Y2K lip that’s super in right now!
