“It’s basically the perfect level for a sweaty night of dancing.”

I’m a notoriously nosy person when it comes to beauty products. I want to know whether you double cleanse at night, how often you wash your hair, and exactly what you’re using. I want to know if there’s some special facial tool or pair of tweezers that have (hyperbole warranted) changed your life. I want to know what curl definer you use and which lip balm you swear by.

In short, I adore products. This is why I’ve asked some of our favourite Australian and New Zealand creatives to share the ‘top three‘ products they can’t live without. The scope is broad – it can genuinely be anything, as long as they’re the three they value the most.

Want to snoop inside the beauty regimes of other creatives? Head here.

Joining us this week is Lauren, Miranda and Jade from Melbourne alt-pop group, Blusher. The trio, who recently released their new single ‘Somebody New‘, are performing two debut headline shows in Australia this week, at The Lansdowne Hotel in Sydney tonight and at the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne on Thursday.

Aside from their musical talents (they all play multiple instruments and collaborate on songwriting), a quick scroll through Blusher’s Instagram will show you these three know how to turn out a look. From glam sessions with FJ fave makeup artist Meg McConville, to selfies of lived-in party girl makeup at festivals, it’s the beauty inspiration we love to see.

Maybe it’s a bit on-the-nose, but if you’re going to name your band Blusher, I have a hunch these girls use blush. And obviously, I want to know which ones. Here are the top three they swear by for a post-dance floor glow.

Naked Sundays Cabana Glow SPF50 Mineral Glow Serum Drops Luminising Blush

How did you first discover this product?

I have many a blush in my makeup bag but this one is the king. I had been looking for makeup that was gentle on sensitive skin and protective from the sun. I found this one at Mecca (honestly, the unicorn-coloured packaging drew me in) and it was love at first sight.

What is it, what does it do and why do you love it?

This blush is so dewy and radiant, it kind of doubles as my blush and highlighter. I love that it has mineral SPF50, antioxidants, vitamins, hyaluronic acid, and it’s an Aussie brand! It really gives you a *flushed from my vacation* look.

Where would you find it and who would you recommend it to?

You can find it at Mecca stores for $45 or on their website. I’d recommend it to anyone who likes a glowy finish and spends time outdoors, especially in the harsh Aussie sun.

How did you first discover this product?

Through a stylish friend! I saw her put it on in the girls bathroom once and I was immediately like, “What is that?!”.

What is it, what does it do and why do you love it?

Okay, so technically it’s a lip oil but I use it as blush all the time because the colour works so well with my skin tone. It’s refillable, natural and can also be used as an eye shadow or highlighter. Plus it comes in the cutest case, what’s not to love?

Where would you find it and who would you recommend it to?

You can buy it on the Fluff website. I would recommend it to anyone, also if you’re after a great Christmas present for someone, it’s a sure thing.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Matte Beauty Blush Wand

Picked by: Miranda

How did you first discover this product?

I definitely helped myself to a sneaky sample in my best friend’s room getting ready for a night out and fell in love.

What is it, what does it do and why do you love it?

I love a liquid blush so much. This one layers really well so you can build it up depending on how cheeky you want to get. Technically it’s ‘matte’ which is usually not my preference, but I feel like this has a really nice natural texture and doesn’t feel too matte to me at all. It’s basically the perfect level for a sweaty night of dancing.

Where would you find it and who would you recommend it to?

I would recommend this for any of my fellow warm-toned Autumn season girlies, go and grab it from Mecca.

Keep up with Blusher here.
