Role Description
We are SÜK WORKWEAR, a Melbourne based independent workwear clothing label founded by a woman and ex-labourer. We are experiencing incredible growth and looking for some creative direction support to join forces with our founder. This is a unique creative role for someone who really cares about ideas, real ones, that will play over in people’s minds long after they have launched and run their commercial course. Whilst we are growing and so are our creative budgets, we value real ideas over production value. We aim to execute in our backyard, sentiments that speak to the world.
This role is a unique one. Collaborating closely with our founder to develop ideas, you will also be on the ground leading the execution process, ensuring details are nailed and the crew onset are cohesive. You will also be in communication with the senior management team across important commercial decisions and help problem solve how to tackle an array of small business issues, whilst collaborating with the founder to protect the brand’s values and integrity, in every creative decision and piece of external of messaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with creative director to outline creative ideas and needs for campaigns/shoots/launches
- Work closely with marketing manager to create a list of deliverables.
- Create short list of contractors best suited to execute.
- Work with marketing assistant to book and schedule.
- ensure brief for creative collaborators is communicated and understood.
- Collaborate closely with the team and contractors to develop project timelines and budgets that are clear, comfortable, and transparent and ensure they are met.
- Follow up with collaborators to ensure treatments, story boards and other prelim creative work are delivered on time.
- Ensure casting, styling, location scouting decisions are approved by creative director.
- Be available on set and watch attentively to ensure all aspects of the brief are nailed.
- Follow up to ensure deliverables arrive on time.
- Discuss drafts/selects with creative director and pass on any notes.
- Once assets are delivered, ensure they are filed appropriately and immediately shared with whomever needs them.
- Apply simple graphics / upload images where needed and liaise with creative director to approve.
- Organize and schedule posts across all platforms – liaise with creative director to approve.
- Collaborating with Founder, create a short list of interesting subjects/ideas to execute – discuss with creative director.
- Reach out to contacts to discuss opportunities.
- Work with marketing assistant to book and schedule.
- Be available on shoot to meet, direct and capture content or oversee who is executing.
- Edit content and liaise with creative director/founder for feedback.
KEY SKILLS
- Experience in film/photography and/or film production a must.
- Social media experience
- Experience in graphic designs a plus.
- Experience with Shopify a plus.
- Resourcefulness to make small budgets go far and execute great ideas without the need for large teams or complex tech.
- CREATIVE, ideas are gold and great ones speak for themselves.
- Professionalism needed to work in an experienced team.
- Willingness to be agile and work with fast change and problem solve.
- Energy to work in a fast-growing business
