Role Description
Based at our Support Office in Malvern, we have a fantastic new opportunity for a full time Assistant Product Developer to join the Perri Cutten team!
As a key supporting role in the Perri Cutten Design & Product Development team, this position assists the Knitwear & Soft Wovens Manager throughout the product development process, attending fittings, liaising with offshore suppliers, managing fit comments and approvals, and measuring samples. The role also coordinates and manages all product samples required across marketing channels, working closely with Design, eCommerce, and Marketing to ensure timely, accurate delivery for photographic shoots.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Product Developer on seasonal trend research, as required
- Sample administration including receipt of samples, preparation of samples prior to fittings including measuring, and checking of all style details
- Support in fitting sessions including, taking notes as required and learning technical aspects of garments and the fitting process.
- Liaising with offshore suppliers, sending fit comments and approvals
- Assisting in approving pre-production and shipping samples
- Creating garment sketches in Illustrator and InDesign as directed by the Senior Product Developer
- CAD designs and storyboards
- CAD file management and storage as directed using correct naming conventions.
- Monitoring of the Salesman Sample process (SMS) throughout the season ensuring all samples are available and presented for Range sign off and showroom sell
- Oversee sample fit and Specification across products categories
- Day to day management of the Company Critical path
- Liaise with Senior Product Developer to ensure key seasonal booking dates are met, and to flag any potential issues that may impact on time sign off or bulk delivery
- AP21 data entry as required
- Undertaking additional administrative duties or tasks as instructed
KEY SKILLS
- Relevant tertiary or related qualifications and minimum 18 months work experience in the fashion industry
- Sound knowledge of garment construction, fabrics and yarns
- Illustrator and garment sketching skills
- Adobe Photoshop and InDesign skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Working knowledge of AP21 system is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet schedules and timelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Hold a current Australian drivers licence
- Excellent work ethic, be flexible and willing to learn
- A positive and proactive ‘can do’ attitude
