Role Description
The role of the PR & Events Specialist is to work closely with the brand marketing team to execute Witchery’s PR activity, including product placement, sample management, events, news creation and talent. Support with key annual brand events such as the White Shirt Campaign (now in its 17th year). This role supports driving sales growth, brand equity and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Witchery’s PR strategy aligned with brand and marketing objectives, ensuring consistent media coverage across key categories and regions
- Run PR events across Australia and New Zealand, from concept development to logistics, guest list management, supplier coordination, and event execution
- Develop media communications such as press releases, media kits, and PR assets (e.g., product shoots, look books)
- Support PR activities across retail partners
- Identify and procure local and global talent – including negotiations, briefing, product coordination, content approvals, reporting and ongoing research for an ever-evolving network of the most premium and on-brand talent
- Ensure delivery of collaborator content against brief, timelines and brand standards, including management of any re-shoots
- Leverage strong relationships and negotiation skills to procure talent and high-quality content at the best possible rates
- Compile weekly and monthly reports on media coverage (print and digital) providing insights and recommendations to the team
- Compile insights from influencer reports
- Track and manage the PR and events budget, ensuring all costs are within budget and processed on time
- Implement and adhere to WHS policies and procedures, guidelines and safe work practices within your area of responsibility
- Complete WHS/EEO induction and any prescribed WHS training
- Maintain a safe working environment for team members, contractors and visitors, and ensure that others are not put at risk
KEY SKILLS
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Fashion, PR or Marketing and/or relevant industry preferred
- Experience in a retail or fashion related PR/Events based, customer service role
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed time management, organisational, and analytical skills
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills, internal and external
