THE ROLE
Reporting to the Design Lead, the Product Developer plays a key role in ensuring every garment meets Paire’s high standards of quality, fit, and craftsmanship. You’ll bring strong technical expertise and construction knowledge to support the design vision, working closely with the product and production teams to develop production-ready garments.
From fit and workmanship through to final finish, you’ll ensure our products not only look exceptional but feel incredible to wear.
ABOUT YOU
- 2–4+ years’ experience in garment technology, fit, and grading within a fashion environment.
- Strong understanding of size standards, construction methods, and QA processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Solid technical knowledge of garment construction and pattern making.
- Experience assessing garment quality and clearly communicating expectations to factories.
- Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team, while also operating autonomously.
- Highly organised, reliable, flexible, and willing to assist across tasks when needed.
- Previous experience in bra or intimates development is a bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed tech packs from design handover, translating concepts into production-ready garments.
- Manage and run fit sessions alongside the Design Lead, refining garments to achieve optimal fit.
- Maintain and update tech packs, garment specifications, and bulk grading from handover through to pre-production approval.
- Measure, evaluate, and review samples to confirm compliance with specifications.
- Ensure consistency in sizing, fit, and construction across all collections.
- Conduct final QC checks prior to bulk production, including wear, wash, and hang testing.
- Liaise clearly and effectively with production partners to communicate technical requirements and resolve issues.
- Develop care instructions, labelling, and packing methods to maintain product quality.
- Analyse returns, customer feedback, and defect data to inform continuous product improvements.
