Role Description
About Rolla’s
Born out of a love for vintage denim, youth culture, and effortless style, Rollas is one of Australia’s fastest-growing denim brands. We blend classic Aussie culture with modern design, creating iconic fits worn across the globe. As we continue to scale, our Planning team needs an ambitious numbers-person to help drive our commercial success across Wholesale, Retail, and E-commerce channels.
The Role
As our Junior Planner, you will work side-by-side with our Planning Manager to support the end-to-end inventory management and analytical lifecycle of the brand. You’ll transform raw numbers into actionable commercial insights, ensure our stock is in the right place at the right time, and help optimize our inventory performance across all channels.
This is the ultimate step-up for an ambitious Allocator or Assistant Planner who wants real ownership, hands-on experience developing OTB skills, and a deep dive into the commercial side of fashion.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Trade Reporting
- Trade Reporting: Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly sales, stock, and margin reports, pinpointing best-sellers, slow-movers, and channel opportunities.
- MSSI Maintenance: Help maintain Monthly Sales, Stock, and Intake (MSSI) forecasts to track actual performance against budgets.
- Sizing & Pack Analysis: Analyze size curves and selling patterns to optimize future buy sheets and reduce broken-size stock.
- Post-Seasonal Analysis: Build quarterly post-season reports to identify future growth opportunities for the brand.
- Line Projections & Forecasting: Track key style projections, propose inventory actions based on sales trends, and assist with monthly sales, profit, and inventory re-forecasting.
Stock Allocation & Replenishment
- Channel Allocation: Execute timely allocations of seasonal drops and core stock across retail stores and our E-commerce warehouse.
- Core Replenishment: Monitor “Never Out of Stock” (NOOS) denim lines, triggering re-orders to maximize stock availability while keeping inventory lean.
- Delivery Management: Track inbound shipments and liaise with internal teams to get product onto the floor and online without delay.
Buying & Range Support
- Range Building: Partner with the Planning Manager and Design team during range reviews, providing historical sell-through data and option count insights.
- System Management: Maintain end-to-end system data integrity with zero-error accuracy.
- Team Support: Assist the broader planning team across administrative and operational tasks as needed.
Who You Are
- Experienced: You bring 1–3 years of experience in a retail head office environment (ideally as an Allocator or Assistant Planner). Apparel or fashion experience is highly regarded.
- Excel Proficient: You know your way around Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and dataset manipulation are second nature).
- Analytically Minded: You have a natural affinity for numbers, sharp attention to detail, and love spotting patterns within data.
- A Strong Communicator: You are clear, proactive, and confident collaborating cross-functionally with Design, E-Comm, Wholesale, and Operations teams.
- System-Savvy: You adapt quickly to new software and retail ERPs.
- Brand Aligned: You live and breathe the Rolla’s aesthetic, youth culture, and denim fashion.
