Role Description
The Brand
Born from a love for Australian vintage denim and the “New Nostalgic” aesthetic, Rolla’s captures the spirit of a bygone era and reimagines it for today. We are the custodians of the fit, dedicated to creating the most flattering jeans in the category while staying true to our Fabergé heritage story. At Rolla’s, we blend cultural heat with commercial success to create a brand our consumers truly love. Rolla’s is nothing without the people that wear it. Rolla’s is your brand. Wear it your way.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive Product Developer to join our Rolla’s Women’s team, helping bring our apparel collections to life across global markets.
You will own the product pipeline from tech pack creation to final production approvals, including running fit sessions, building strong factory partnerships and ensuring every garment meets our standards on time, every time.
Key Responsibilities
- Bring concepts to life: Develop detailed seasonal specs and tech packs for denim and apparel.
- Fit Sessions: Plan and independently run fit sessions for all sample stages of each range, capturing detailed pre- and post-fit notes.
- Own the Sample Workflow: Manage all incoming and outgoing samples, including measuring, organising fit models, and preparing samples ahead of range meetings.
- Factory Communication: Maintain strong daily communication and comprehensive fit comments and production approval feedback to factories.
- Champion Quality: Oversee quality assurance for garments, trims, washes, and packaging.
- Critical Path: Partner closely with suppliers to keep the critical pathway on track and navigate deadlines effortlessly.
- Administration & Support: Maintain PLM data administration and provide cross-brand and department support as required.
What you bring:
- Proven experience in apparel product development, ideally with a women’s wear focus.
- Strong garment construction and pattern making and knowledge of textiles/fabrics.
- Ability to work independently and run fit sessions.
- Experience partnering with overseas suppliers/manufacturers and negotiating costs.
- Strong understanding of the full production process, including pre-production stages.
- Proficiency in Excel and Illustrator (or other relevant tech pack/design tools).
- Highly organised, excellent attention to detail, strong time-management skills to always meet deadlines.
Why Join Us?
- Wardrobe Perk: A generous employee discount (get ready for the most flattering jeans in your closet).
- Growth: We are a lean, collaborative team where your ideas for the brand’s seasonal direction will actually be heard.
- Culture: A creative environment that values authenticity, hard work, and a “Consumer First” mindset.
