The world’s first zero-waste bra is launching soon

Words by Nicole La Ruffa

Your bra never felt so good.

Reports have found that the fashion industry is responsible for 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions a year, globally. Yikes.

Expanding the market for sustainable fashion is Stephanie Devine, the Sydney lingerie designer behind Bras Without Wires, and now the creator of the world’s first zero-waste bra.

Straight outta Bondi, The Very Good Bra is completely biodegradable, so you can bury it in your backyard when you’re through with it.

This eco-friendly alternative is black and wire-free, with 24 cup sizes on offer for all women wanting to embrace sustainability. Plus, it’s made from all the good stuff, with tencel fibres used in place of cotton or wool. This means less skin irritation and extra softness.

Kickstarter campaign is launching on May 19, allowing you to fund the bra into production.

While you wait, shop the Bras Without Wires range for more comfy goodness.
