Inside APM Monaco’s glittering new Westfield Sydney store launch

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH APM Monaco

A touch of the French Riviera.

With its palatial homes, opulent architecture and sparkling, yacht-dotted coastline, there are few destinations as glamorous as Monaco. Though tiny (the world’s second-smallest country, after the Vatican), it’s often referred to as the ‘jewel of the French Riviera’ – home to Michelin-starred restaurants, the sprawling Palais Princier and, since 1982, luxurious jewellery brand APM Monaco.

Founded by mother-and-son duo Ariane and Philippe Prette in Monte Carlo, APM Monaco was initially launched as a manufacturer of gold, diamonds and precious stones for jewellers around the world. Over 40 years later, the brand (now with Phillippe at the helm, and his wife Kika Prette as creative director) has become synonymous with modern elegance and French savoir-vivre

APM Monaco pieces are instantly recognisable, balancing meticulous craftsmanship with contemporary design – think patchwork pavé cuffs, spiky geometric sleepers and ornate cubic zirconia-studded cross rings. Dixie D’Amelio is the face of the brand’s new Collection Automne (joining the ranks of Eva Longoria and Formula 1 driver Charles LeClerc), as APM Monaco continues to prove its pull across generations.

The brand has just expanded to its 10th Australian location, celebrating the launch of its new Westfield Sydney store just last week. Guests sampled pieces from the new range while sipping on French champagne, and enjoying curated refreshments, a set from DJ Juan Kennedy and red carpet-esque photo moments.

Beyond its signature 925 sterling silver jewellery, Collection Automne debuts a range of bold, statement-making accessories. Khaki green proves to be the shade of the season, splashed across ultra-soft, extra-large suede totes, woven bucket bags, caps and wayfarer shades. And for those searching for statement pieces, there are art deco-inspired jewels in shades of sapphire blue and emerald green (see: this bracelet).

Like most of life’s luxuries, APM Monaco pieces are best experienced in person. Whether you’re hunting for future heirlooms or looking to update your everyday jewellery, the brand’s Westfield Sydney store invites a new wave of admirers to experience a little Monte Carlo magic – no passport required.
