Applications for the VAMFF Fashion Writing Program are now open

Calling all aspiring writers.
Each year, the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival offers burgeoning fashion writers the opportunity to be mentored by professionals, and have their work published online.
In 2020, the festival’s Fashion Writing Program is supported by Fashion Journal to provide an esteemed platform for emerging talent.
Three chosen finalists will be mentored by Fashion Journal’s Managing Editor through meetings, ongoing review, and editorial feedback.
Finalists will be assigned to attend events on the VAMFF program as a writer for Fashion Journal, conducting reporting and writing for the masthead. Finalists’ work will be published on Fashion Journal online.
Applicants must be enrolled or recently graduated from a fashion or writing course. Finalists will be chosen based on their distinct writing style, their potential to contribute to the growth of fashion journalism in Australia, and a demonstrated understanding of the wider fashion industry.
